Elevator Doors

Seventy-five percent of all elevator problems are door related

Elevator door equipment is one of the most important factors in making an elevator system more reliable, safe and perform more efficiently.

Neglecting elevator door equipment could put the riding public in an unsafe condition. By just installing a door screen device you could greatly increase the riding public’s safety and limit the owner’s exposure.

There is some difference between hall and cab door equipment. Cab doors operate, at a minimum of twice as much, than that of hall doors. Elevator doors open and close every time an elevator button is pressed; whether it is a button in the elevator or in the hall.

There are many components to an elevator door system. The elevator door system is driven by what is called a door operator; this is the main component and is located on top of the elevator cab.
